The Company
The Building.Dev is a registerd French
company owned and managed by its principle consultant Helen Evans. The Building.Dev is completely independant and its renumeration is non-commision based. The company's code of conduct is regulated the Royal Insitution of Chartered Surveyors, RICS.
Our Services
The
Building.Dev offers advice to real estate investors principally in the sectors of technical assistance at acqusition or in preparation for sale, management of technical due diligence, value add strategy, planning and implementation, project and development management, set up of internal processes and governance in relation to projects.
Our Markets
Our principle markets are France, Spain, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
We have experience across a broad range of asset classes from offices to hotels, logistics to high street retail and shopping centres.
We are familiar with alternative investment strategies; core, core plus, value add, opportunistic, and the different approches these entail.
Helen Evans
Creative Director
Helen started her career in the U.K. as an RICS Chartered Building Surveyor in London where she worked for 15 years in commercial real estate including 8 years at DTZ (now part of Cushman Wakefield.)
Helen relocated to Paris in 2005 and became a partner in niche French Building Consultancy Turnbull Associés, adding France and Belgium to her market experience.
Helen was part of the working group responsible for the publication in 2011 of the RICS Professional Guidance Note for Technical Due Diligence of Commerical Property in Europe.
In 2015 Helen joined the Paris office of IVG Institutional Funds/ TRIUVA, ( part of PATRIZIA since 2018) as a Director and senior member of the Pan European value add and development team. This role gave her the opporunity to expand her market experience to Spain and Luxembourg.
In 2020 Helen created The Building.Dev, an independant consultancy offering technical asset management and investment management advice to real estate investors.
Helen is bi-lingual English - French and has a basic working knowledge of Spanish in a business context.
